Dear Columbia Records

We are writing this letter to require permission to use the song ‘This Woman Works’ by Maxwell in our A level project. We are conducting a music video and have chosen to use your song; it will be shown to my media class when the project is finished. We will also be sending it of to OCR examination board and our teachers to, if the permission is given.

After our project is completed the product will not be released to a large audience, or put on music video sites for people to watch.

Your company and the artist, Maxwell, will be notified of the course and will have a chance to view the final piece of our project when it is finished. We will inform you on how the project is going during the pre production. Is it possible that you may give us a worded permission to use your lyrics and sound recording of This Woman Works by Maxwell?

If you provide this document it will be included in our report so that we are able to have evidence of your permission to use the piece of music in our project. Can you please include more detail that might be needed?

Thank you

Yours sincerely

Faban Hiyabu and Victoria Kaboyo
