Film Credits

Normanlly when I am watching a movie I never pay attention to the film credits that come on at the beginning... I learn't that eevry movie thats been out names the actors/actresses involved in the movie and the people involved behind the scences. This includes ..
  • Producer
  • Director
  • Actors/actresses
  • Costumer makers
  • Name of the production company
  • Casting
  • Photography
  • Written by and etc
In some movies, they put the actors and actresses names first to get the audience attention and in this might be because of 'Marquee names' and sometimes they put the director name at  the beginning and the end so the audience can rememeber. This also helps the director to get known.
In lesson we saw the opening of 'vergo' and 'seven'. they were completly different from each other. 'Vergo' is an old movie and 'seven' is more 21st century and its starring 'Brad Pitt', he has a whole screen with just his name... because hes a famous actor.  This is an example of my timeline for 'vergo' and 'seven'

Babyscissors: First editing

After finally filming everything, I had to prepare myself for the difficult bit of the film making.... EDITING!!
I made sure we included some of the shots in our horror movie opening like high angle shots, low angle shots and etc..
whilst editing I had to put everything in order after importing the clips on the Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 so it can be easy for me. Some of the other clips I used as extras just incase I need a few bits in this. I had to cut a lot of bits because some of the actions wasn't needed and I needed the opening to fit in for two minutes only. This was quite hard becasue when putting the clips in order I discovered that I went over time so therefore I need to cut some bits to avoid going over time.

I also had to make sure the video was flowing right.. by that I mean when using a 'match of action' I had to make sure it look realistic.

Overall I was amazed I didn't struggle to much and I did managed to make my horror movie look realistic and scary.  However I didn't get to finish everything I still need to add effects and sound . I also need to add a 'split screen shot'.

My Two Ways Of Marketing ...

To make my movie successful, I would market my film by making my own website where it can advertise my movie in DVD and in bluray. It will also provide the trailers for people to check out the movie and a gallery section where you can see some images of the character playing in the movie. This will build attention and excitement from the audience. The website will also include downloading, where you can downlaod screensavers. It will also provide accessories like key rings and book marks and etc that you will be able to buy online.

The secound thing I will use to market my film is posters on the buses, bustops and billboards because normally the majority of people are travelling to work or school so they will be able to spot this and will want to check up on it online. This also attracts attention because while people are waiting for the bus, they can look at the poster and will remember it and want to watch it.
