Film Distributors

A distributor is a company or individual responsible for releasing films to the public either theatrically or for home viewing. You will mostly find distributors in a cinema festival which happens every once a year. This is when producers get their chance to show of their movie to distrubutors and if it appeals to them they will agree on releasing the movie to the public which then makes the producer succesful.

For my movie Babysiccors I would want Dogwoof to distribute my film because Dogwoof show great films it a company that can release your movie on pop cinema. It also has its own DVD shop and it helps filmakers to promote and sell their films globally through their network of partners.

Many of their films are now available to rent or buy on itunes. Dogwoof Indie is our hybrid distribution model and was setup so that filmakers can get a better deal. The Dogwoof Production Fund is our initiative to support the production of feature film Documentaries.

BFI Film Fund

The BFI wants to support emerging filmmaking talent and provide them with the opportunities to demonstrate their potential to be feature filmmakers with the ability to entertain and engage UK audiences. The BFI  supports filmmakers in the UK who are emerging or world class and capable of creating distinctive and entertaining work. I think the BFI will be available to for funding my film.
